Your Pine Script Strategy Looks Profitable on TradingView. But is it really?

Traders lose money because they:

  • Optimize on hindsight
  • Skip robustness testing
  • Fail prop firm challenges they could have predicted

Tradelyze measures all three on the strategy you already wrote.

02 — Pain points

Sound familiar?

Every algo trader hits these walls.

"My strategy crushed it in backtesting, then blew up live"

Curve-fitted results don't survive live markets. We catch overfitting before your account does.

"I failed the prop firm challenge on day 3"

One missed drawdown rule ends the challenge. We check every rule before you pay the fee.

"I can't tell if my backtest matches TradingView"

Silent divergence creeps in fast. We match your backtest against TradingView, trade by trade.

"I don't know if my parameters are actually optimal"

Manual grid search is guessing. A Bayesian TPE search finds your true Pareto-optimal set.

"Walk-forward analysis is too complex to set up"

Rolling windows, done by hand, is a PhD-level task. We automate the entire pipeline.

"I have no way to know if the Sharpe ratio is real"

A high Sharpe can be data-mining bias. DSR and permutation tests confirm it's genuine.

Parameter Sensitivity Analysis24%
Deflated Sharpe Ratio (DSR)18%
01

Monte Carlo Simulation

Reshuffles trade order 1,000+ times

Ruin probability < 20% = pass
02

Permutation Test

Scrambles signals to expose a fake edge

p-value significance test
03

Parameter Sensitivity Analysis

Nudges every parameter 5%, re-runs real backtests

Degradation < 20% = stable
04

Deflated Sharpe Ratio (DSR)

Deflates Sharpe for how often you optimized

DSR value > 0.95 = pass

Minimum backtest length is also shown on every report for information only. It earns no points and does not change the score.

09 — FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Tradelyze?
Tradelyze is a TradingView Pine Script strategy validation tool made by Pick MyTrade Pvt Ltd. It searches your strategy's input parameters with multi-objective TPE (Tree-structured Parzen Estimator) Bayesian optimization that optimizes profit percentage, Sharpe ratio and maximum drawdown together and returns a Pareto front, then runs walk-forward analysis and four scored statistical robustness tests, and finally returns a rule-by-rule pass or fail against 14 prop firm presets or your own custom rules.
What do I need to upload to run an analysis?
Four things, all required by the submission wizard: your Pine Script source, your TradingView Strategy Tester “List of Trades” CSV export, an OHLCV market data CSV covering the symbol and timeframe you want tested, and the exchange timezone. Tradelyze does not bundle market data — you supply it. The trades export is what the baseline match percentage is measured against.
What prop firms does Tradelyze validate against?
Tradelyze ships 14 prop firm presets — including FTMO, Topstep, FundedNext, The5ers, Apex Trader Funding and Earn2Trade — and you can author your own rule bundles. It reports a per-rule PASS or FAIL across six rule types: maximum daily drawdown, maximum total drawdown, profit target, minimum trading days, a consistency rule and a minimum trade count, under four drawdown models (static, intraday trailing, end-of-day trailing and end-of-day balance). Presets can fall behind a firm’s current terms, so check every limit on the firm’s own site.
What is walk-forward analysis and why does it matter?
Walk-forward analysis splits your historical data into train and test periods, optimizes on the training data, then validates on unseen test data. This is the gold standard for detecting overfitting — if your strategy only works on the data it was optimized on, walk-forward analysis will reveal it.
What robustness tests do you run?
Four scored checks, combined into one 0-100 score with a letter grade: a Monte Carlo block bootstrap (29 points), a permutation test (29), parameter sensitivity run as real backtests (24) and the Deflated Sharpe Ratio (18). A minimum backtest length check is also shown for information only and does not change the score. The score is renormalised over whichever checks could actually run. Tradelyze also re-scores robustness at each prop firm’s own drawdown limit.
Is Tradelyze free to use?
New accounts start with 20 free credits, which is enough to run the full pipeline without paying. After that credits cost 19 USD each: 1 credit per strategy submission plus 1 credit per built-in prop firm checked. Checking your own custom rule bundles costs nothing. Tradelyze is currently in beta.
How long does analysis take?
Longer than a chart refresh — think hours, not minutes. Every optimization trial is a full backtest run on a remote service, and the search is strictly serial, so the wall-clock cost scales with how many inputs your strategy exposes. The run page shows a live upper-bound estimate while it works, and Tradelyze emails you when it finishes, so you do not have to sit on the page.
Can I run Tradelyze without a TradingView trades export?
No. The submission wizard will not let you past the Upload Trade History step without a TradingView Strategy Tester “List of Trades” CSV, and the market data CSV and exchange timezone are required too. The trades export is what the baseline match percentage is measured against, so there is no path through the product that skips it.
